About:

Kim Brown Seely’s bestselling memoir, UNCHARTED, was recently published by Sasquatch Books/Penguin Random House. Winner of the 2016 Lowell Thomas Journalist of the Year Award and a Nautilus Book Award, she worked for many years as senior editor at Travel & Leisure magazine, contributing editor at National Geographic Adventure, and travel editor at Microsoft. She is a contributing writer for Virtuoso Life magazine, where she has won nearly a dozen awards for her work and enjoys writing about far-flung places. She is a former board president of Seattle Arts and Lectures and currently serves on the board of Copper Canyon Press.  She graduated from Stanford University.
